Manuscript Preparation Guidelines for Authors


  1. Language

Urdu, Arabic, and English.

  1. Frequency

Annual

  1. Size and Length of paper:

The length of the paper should not exceed 15 pages, including tables, figures, references, and appendices (if any).

    1. Paper Size:

      • Paper size should be A4-small with 1 inch right and left and Top and bottom margins).

    2. English Articles:

      • Ms Word: Times New Roman

      • Fonts: Heading-16, Sub-Heading-14, Main Text-12

    3. Urdu Articles:

      • Both in Inpage and Ms Word: Noori Nastaliq

      • Fonts Heading-18, Sub-Heading-16, Main Text-14

    4. Arabic Articles:

      • Both in Inpage and Ms Word: Arabic Typesetting

      • Fonts: Heading-18, Sub-Heading-16, Main Text-14

      • (PDF files are not accepted for any Article)

  1. Title Page

The title page should include:

      • The name(s) of the author(s).

      • A concise and informative title.

      • The affiliation(s) and address(es) of the author(s).

      • The e-mail address, telephone, and fax numbers of the corresponding author.

  1. Abstract

Please provide an abstract of 150 to 200 words. The abstract should not contain any undefined abbreviations or unspecified references.

  1. Keywords

Please provide 4 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes.

  1. Acknowledgment

The author may use the acknowledgment section in the title page of the paper (if any).

  1. Subdivision of the article

Divide your article into clearly defined and numbered sections.

Subsections should be numbered 1,2. (then 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.1.2), 1.2, etc. The abstract is not included in section numbering.

  1. Table and Figures

Present tables and figures within the article, not at the end of the article. Please note that the article will be published in black and white (print), although the online version will contain the colorful figures (if any). However, the color print will be available in extreme cases as per the request of the author.

  1. References

Author(s) should follow the latest edition of APA style in referencing. Please visit www.apastyle.org to learn more about APA style. Complete references should be in end notes.

1. Reference from the Quran

Quran 3:113. Source of Urdu or English translation of the Quranic verses must also be cited.

2. Reference from Classical Hadith Compilations

Muhammad b. Ismail al-Bukhari, al-Jami‘al-sahih, Kitab al-Zabih wa a sayd, Bab Akl Kull Dhi Nab min al-Siba‘(Riyadh: Dar-us-Salam, 1417 H), Hadith: 5530.

3. Reference from Books

Examples:

Include a subtitle, series title, and translator (if any). If there are multiple authors listed on the title page, include up to four names in full; for more than four, include the first followed by et al. If there are more than four editors, include only the first and et al.

  • Articles

Use author and article title as they appear on the first page of the article (if not in full there, then use Table of Contents version). If a full date is given on the journal, include it in this form: Author, “Title,” name of Journal, city of publication, 25 (March, 2002): 74-76; if only a year is given, include the journal volume and number in this form: Author, “Title” Journal, city of publication, vol. 22, no. 3 (2002): 74-76.

Important Notes

  1. Paper containing more than 15 pages or containing any violation relating set parameters will be returned to the author(s).

  2. Articles should be typed in double-space (including footnotes and references) on one side of the paper only Authors are urged to write as concisely as possible, but not at the expense of clarity.

  3. The submitted article must be original, unpublished and based on academic research. Therefore, the responsibility of any plagiarized material will be on the author himself.

  4. The views expressed in the articles of “ARJ” are not necessarily those of the journal’s editor or its editorial board.

  5. Authors interested to submit their manuscripts should send three hard copies, one softcopy and abstract (150-200 words) of the article in the English language.

  6. The Journal holds the right to make necessary changes in the article sent or to decline the publication of any submitted manuscript without giving any reason.

  7. The submitted article must adhere to the research methodology.

  8. An article will be sent for review to two experts of the relevant field prior to its publication.

  9. The contributor will be given 1 copy of the published article.

  10. Articles, book reviews, and critical opinions are warmly welcomed.

  11. The contributors are to submit their paper’s soft copy by email and three hard copies on postal address.

  12. The contributors are to submit the publication fee within 15 days of issuance of letter of acceptance for their papers.
